ThemeStarta Now Mobile Ready!
As of ThemeStarta Version 2.2 creating mobile friendly responsive themes is a walk in the park.
Just switch “Responsive Settings” to “Enable” in this new settings area under ThemeStarta Options:
For the majority of themes just hitting that “Enable” switch is all it takes and hey presto you have a mobile friendly responsive theme.

IMPORTANT: If you want to create tablet and phone layouts that are different to the default it may require extra custom coding. Also, background images are not automatically resized so you will need to use tiling background images in your designs.
Please be aware of these factors before you get started.
We will publish a tips guide to working with responsive layouts soon – but we knew everyone would rather have the update to play with right away rather than waiting for the upcoming tutorial first.

No More Content Appended to Spotlights and Featured Strips
If you’ve previously run into an issue of plugins adding unwanted content, such as social bookmarking icons for example, to the end of your Spotlights and Featured Strips your problem is now solved.
The ThemeStarta Framework has now been altered to prevent plugins from appending content to Spotlights and Featured Strips, so you can now use social bookmarking plugins and the like to your heart’s content without any unwanted effects.
Align Posts & Widgets Flush With Outer Edge
Up until now whatever margin you set to appear around your posts and widgets would also always appear down one side, preventing alignment flush down the outer edge.
You can now opt to have the margin appear only below each post or widget, hence allowing you to have your content directly aligned with the outer edges of your site.
You can see this new feature in action on the posts and widgets of our new theme SupaMag.
Just go the the “Layout” settings bar under “Posts Area & Posts” and/or “Sidebar Widgets”, then set “Posts align flush with outside edge of Posts Area?” or “Widgets align flush with outside edge of sidebar?” to “Yes”.
Default Generation and Chrome Upload Glitches Fixed
We discovered a small glitch occurring from time to time when generating defaults, where the correct message might not be displayed upon completion. This has now been fixed.
We also found that there was a recently emerged problem with file uploads when using Chrome, which we assume resulted from a recent Chrome update. This issue has also now been fixed so Chrome users are all good to go again.
Upgrading to ThemeStarta v2.2
This new version of ThemeStarta is a very significant upgrade so you should not use the usual upgrade process.
Rather, we recommend grabbing a fresh copy of ThemeStarta Framework v1.2 and using the “Import Settings” process described here: http://www.planetstarta.com/tutorials/import-settings/
Note: This process relates to ThemeStarta Framework based themes. If you are working with one of our other themes, such as StoreStarta for example, please wait for an update to that specific theme.
