Post Outside Slider

The Spotlight block is specifically designed to accommodate a slideshow (the "slider") capable of displaying any type of content, however you don't have to fill the Spotlight area with just a slideshow. Instead, you can resize the slider and reposition it to create space for additional content outside of the slider. In this tutorial we cover how to use the "Post Outside Slider" option panel to customize the display of the content you want to display in the spotlight area alongside your slideshow.

To make content that appears in the slider (slideshow) as easy to navigate as possible, ThemeStarta provides two configurable slider navigation options: Slider Buttons and Slider Arrows. You can choose to display one, both or neither of these slider navigation tools. In this tutorial, we'll cover the method specifically related to Slider Arrows. Using the "Slider Arrows" option panel, learn how to upload your own slider arrow images and/or set slider arrow images to show or hide.

Slider Captions

ThemeStarta's slider includes in-built caption overlay functionality for displaying custom captions on each of your slideshow slides. The caption itself is typically added when you add your post content through the WordPress admin dashboard using the "Enter the Slider Caption Overlay Text" field, but it is through the Spotlight Settings > Slider Caption options panel that you control how the caption displays. In this tutorial, we'll cover how to customize the slider caption background and all text (including text links) that appear in it.

Slider

ThemeStarta's slider provides you in-built functionality for displaying slideshows of your content in the Spotlight block of your custom WordPress theme. Options for customizing how your slider displays are found in the Spotlight Settings > Slider options panel. In this tutorial, we'll cover these options which include setting your slider to a full or fixed height and width, controlling slider spacing, auto resizing slider images, customizing the slider background, border, text and links, and setting the speed and type of slider transition.
